Biomes
Aloft features three different Biomes for players to sail to: The Emerald Isles, the Fallen Heights and the Red Cliffs.
Each Biome contains different types of flora and fauna and are always separated by a stormbarrier. The player needs to build their own sails, rudders and floaters to sail across.
Emerald Isles
The Emerald Isles is the first biome and it contains the starter cluster, where the player spawns in. It ranges across three southern tiles and contains about 15 cluster, all with its own set of islands. It is made up of green grass, oak trees and its own plants. The islands in this biome can have the largest caves and the flattest terrain found in Aloft. It is advised to take a few of the animals and plants you can find here with you, so you always have a supply of wool and plants.

Fallen Heights
The Fallen Heights is the second biome and ranges across all 8 tiles on the second ring. It is made up of the orange grass, mountain ash and acacia trees, and its own plants such as the moonbloom flowers which only bloom during the night.

Red Cliffs
The Red Cliffs is the third biome and ranges across the 6 northern tiles on the third and outer ring. The terrain is made out of clay and stone, it has only darkwood tree stomps and fallen darkwood trees and aloe vera/cactus plants. In contrast to the other 2 biomes, the player will suffer from a heatstroke debuff unless they wear a set of linen clothes which slows down the heat bar. Alternately drinking clean water or going to the biome at night will nullify the effects.
