Farming

Farming is essential in Aloft to obtain ingredients needed for cooking, grinding and husbandry.

Basics

The player must first place any kind of Farming Plot then till it with a Dorkip. Then when having Dirty Water or Clean Water in inventory or chest you can use a Leaf Basket to water the soil. Then seeds can be planted when in the inventory.

Farming Plots

• Rustic Farming Plots : can be gained in Emerald Isles by interacting with a Knowledge Stone.
• Plank Farming Plots: can be sketched in key locations in Emerald Isles.
• Stone Farming Plots: can be obtained from a Knowledge Stone.

Seeds

Seeds can be found in the wild using different methods:

• Foraging bushes (Blueberry, Tomato, Pumpkin, Watermelon)
• Harvesting (Coffee, Sugar Beet, Corn, Carrot, Potato, Peas)
• Using a Sickle (Wheat, Flax).

Stages

Plants grow through several stages and need watering twice. Crops obtained from a bush are the easiest to get since you do not need to replant these and thus making them infinite provided you have water on your island.
