Stone

Stone is a basic resource which can be found in multiple forms on almost every island in Aloft.

Obtaining

Rocks come in 3 basic forms, all of which give Stone:

Pebbles - These can be picked up off of the ground, the only way to gather Stone without a Pickaxe. Each time these are collected they will give 2 - 3 Stone

Rocks - The most common form of rock, these can be covered in moss or found in clusters. Regardless of form, each fully mined rock gives 4 - 5 Stone

Glowing Rocks - Similar to normal rocks, these can be found on many islands and also give 4 - 5 Stone when mined, but can yield 0 - 3 Windstone. These rocks glow at night, making them easier to locate than their counterparts after twilight.

Crafting

Stone itself is used in multiple building and crafting recipes, including:

Tools: Two Stone will make a Sharp Stone, an important material used to make most Stone tools except the Hammer, which takes One Wood and One Stone

Building: Stone Foundations, Walls, and Column used in Base building (More to come as the game grows)

Stone is used in the Campfire, Cooking Plate, and Fireplace under the Farming Tab

So far, the only Sailing recipe requiring stone are the Leaf Floater Sail

Only the Millstone, Brewing Lab, and Table-Map require Stone under Machinery Tab (More to come as the game grows)

Under Decorations, most Beacons, Stone Stockpiles, and Face Sculptures are the only builds that take Stone at this time.
